Did you know that May is Water Safety Month? Water safety is a cause that is very near and dear to our hearts here at Pool Scouts. Not only are we focused on cleaning and maintaining pools, but we always want to provide a safe environment for you and your family. That\u2019s why it\u2019s so essential to spread awareness about the importance of learning how to swim! National Water Safety Month was originally created by the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals to raise awareness about water safety and to help everyone have safe, fun experiences in and around the water.<\/p>\n

Pool Cleaning with a Cause \u2013 Hope Floats Partnership<\/h3>\n

According to the CDC, drowning is the leading cause of accidental death for children ages four and under. In hopes of reducing the number of drowning deaths and eliminating this statistic, Pool Scouts franchisees have partnered with Hope Floats Foundation to raise money for swim lessons for underprivileged children who may not have otherwise had the opportunity to learn how to swim.<\/p>\n

Since we began our partnership in 2021, we\u2019ve collectively raised over $100,000 for the Hope Floats Foundation.<\/p>\n

As both Pool Scouts and the Hope Floats Foundation celebrate our 10-year anniversaries this year, we\u2019re continuing our commitment with a fundraising campaign this May\u2014setting a goal to raise an additional $10,000 to support swim lessons for children in need.<\/p>\n

Partnering for Safer Swims: Pool Scouts x Swim with Spice<\/strong><\/p>\n

At Pool Scouts of Huntsville, we believe that clean pools and\u00a0safe swimming go hand in hand. That\u2019s why we\u2019re proud to collaborate with\u00a0Swim with Spice, a dedicated local organization providing\u00a0free swimming lessons to youth in our community.<\/p>\n

Together, we\u2019re taking meaningful steps to\u00a0prevent childhood drowning\u00a0by promoting water safety education and access to life-saving swim instruction. This partnership aligns with our ongoing support of\u00a0Hope Floats, a national nonprofit that funds swim lesson scholarships for underserved families.<\/p>\n

Through these efforts, we’re helping create a community where\u00a0every child has the opportunity to enjoy the water safely\u2014because prevention starts with preparation.<\/p>\n

Swim with Spice<\/em>\u00a0offers a range of programs, including:<\/p>\n

    These programs are designed to build confidence and promote water safety among participants. The organization emphasizes the cognitive and physical benefits of swimming, highlighting how aquatic activities can enhance alertness, attention, and overall brain development, especially in children.<\/p>\n
