Frequently Asked Questions About Pool Scouts of North Dallas & Park Cities

Do you offer pool repair services?

We specialize in ongoing cleaning and care for pools to include pool surface maintenance as well as diagnostic and repair services for pool equipment.

How often is service offered?

Ideally, we will service your pool weekly in order to maintain a family-ready, crystal clear pool. We offer other service frequencies based on individual pool characteristics and needs.

What are the benefits of using a professional pool cleaning service vs. doing it myself?

We bring the chemicals and our expertise in water chemistry to your backyard, so you won’t have to wait in line at a pool store or handle any chemicals yourself! Our Scouts/technicians are fully trained in water chemistry and balancing, and are equipped with the industry’s latest pool cleaning equipment. We provide you with real time notifications when we are headed to your house and when your service is complete. Best of all, our system records your chemistry results, dosing amounts and even includes before and after pictures. We then combine everything into an easy to read report. We do the work to keep you swimming, Scout’s Honor.

How much does it cost?

Costs vary based on the size and condition of the pool. We perform a weekly service on your pool to include thorough cleaning, vacuuming, debris removal, standard balancing chemicals and an extensive checklist to ensure your pool is well-balanced with equipment functioning properly. Most pools cost around $50 per service on a weekly schedule.

Do I need pool service year-round?

Texas weather means a long pool season. A good rule of thumb is to service your pool with the same frequency as your lawn. When grass is green, algae can grow in your pool and weekly service is recommended. In our area, most people keep weekly service or in some cases may reduce service frequency during winter; rarely are pools closed in the off-season.

Do you service commercial accounts?

Our primary focus and expertise is in-ground residential pools.

Are you using dangerous chemicals?

Maintaining a pool necessarily requires the use of chemicals, which, if handled improperly, can pose a safety hazard. It’s best to have a trained Scout to safely handle them and ensure they work as intended. Our professional training ensures that every Scout understands how to measure and administer the precise timing and amount of chemical treatments required for each specific pool.
