Frequently Asked Questions

How often is service offered?

We recommend having your pool serviced weekly in order to maintain a swim-ready, crystal-clear pool.

Do you offer pool repair services?

We are equipped to handle a wide variety of pool equipment issues to ensure your pool is operating correctly. Even if it’s a service we don’t offer, we’ll provide you with a recommendation of a professional who can get the job done.

What is the advantage of opening/closing my pool at the beginning/end of the season?

Closing your pool when it is not in use will help reduce the leaves and debris in your pool and protect the integrity of your pool surface. But you must do it the right way. There’s a process to follow to close the pool in a way that keeps it primed and ready for the summer. Our professional opening and closing services will save you time and ensure a proper start or finish of the season.

What are the benefits of leaving my pool open year-round?

Pool Scouts offers services to keep your pool clean and clear all year long. Many homeowners enjoy looking at their pool as a landscape feature even when it is too cold to swim. Keeping the pool running and serviced all year long keeps your pool swim-ready so that when temperatures warm back up, you can dive right in.

What are the benefits of using a professional pool cleaning service vs. doing it myself?

We bring the chemicals and our expertise in water chemistry to your backyard, so you won’t have to wait in line at a pool store or handle any chemicals yourself! Our Scouts/technicians are fully trained in using our 8-parameter mobile water lab and are equipped with the industry’s best pool cleaning equipment. We provide you with real time notifications when we are headed to your house and when your service is complete. Best of all, our system records your chemistry results, dosing amounts and even includes before and after pictures. We then combine everything into an easy-to-read report. We do the work to keep you swimming, Scout’s Honor!

Pool Scouts of the Piedmont

Meet the Team

Pool Scouts Owner Jeremy Godfrey in front of Pool Scouts vanPool Scouts owner Jeremy Godfrey and his wife Katie live in Kernersville with their three children. Jeremy comes from a background in law enforcement and Katie is a licensed real estate broker in North Carolina. These two are no strangers to business ownership though, as together they built and sold custom homes for several years and also own and operate a “last mile” delivery company. As new pool owners, they had a difficult time finding professional, dependable pool maintenance providers. After speaking with several friends, they learned this issue was not unique to them, which led them to dive into business ownership with Pool Scouts. When not providing excellent pool care, the Godfreys enjoy all things baseball, including attending school and travel ball tournaments for their children and visiting MLB parks.
