To help reduce drownings, Pool Scouts partnered with the Hope Floats Foundation during Water Safety Month in May to bring children free swim lessons. With each pool service provided during the month of May, $1 was donated to the foundation.
“One way of decreasing those numbers is to get them quality, appropriate swim lessons, no matter what their socioeconomic status is,” said Jonathan Walker, owner of Pool Scouts of Greater Richmond. “Donating our money is the least we can do to try to keep kids as safe as possible so they can just enjoy being at a pool.” Read more about the partnership here.
