  • Removing all leaves and debris from the pool
  • Vacuuming the pool
  • Backwashing the filter system
  • Lowering water to the appropriate level
  • Testing water and adding wintering chemicals as needed
  • Draining pump and heater
  • Plugging returns and skimmers
  • Removing and storing deck equipment (ladders and handrails, etc.)
  • Inspecting and installing the winter cover
  • Blowing off pool deck area and equipment pad
