What inspired you to become a Pool Scouts owner?

I wanted to get involved in our local community rather than traveling all of the time on business trips. I grew up with a pool and know how important creating poolside memories are so this allowed us to extend that to many other families to create their own.

What do you find rewarding about being a part of the pool service industry?

It’s fun to see the transformation that a neglected or mismanaged pool takes when we get to care for it. It can go from a swamp to a lovely relaxing amenity with the right management. I enjoy seeing the posts of the family pool parties, prom and homecoming pictures, poolside, birthdays and providing a nice backdrop for our customers to enjoy time together around the water.

In what ways do you hope to see your pool cleaning business contribute to the community?

We want to give people time back to do what they enjoy. We want to help raise awareness and water safety through our partnership with Hope Floats Foundation which helps provide free swim lessons to those who need them.

What advice do you have for pool owners trying to decide whether or not to hire a pool cleaning company?

If you are interested, involved, and have the time and dedication to take care of it yourself that is great. If you prefer to leave the pool chemistry, equipment maintenance and cleaning to the pros you might want to hire a service to take care of it.
