Did you know that May is Water Safety Month? Water safety is a cause that is very near and dear to our hearts here at Pool Scouts of McKinney and Northeast DFW. Not only are we focused on cleaning and maintaining pools, but we always want to provide a safe environment for you and your family. That’s why it’s so essential to spread awareness about the importance of learning how to swim! National Water Safety Month was originally created by the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals to raise awareness about water safety and to help everyone have safe, fun experiences in and around the water.
According to the CDC, drowning is the leading cause of accidental death for children ages four and under. For the past three years, in hopes of reducing the number of drowning deaths and eliminating this statistic, Pool Scouts franchisees have partnered with Hope Floats Foundation to raise money to put towards swim lessons for underprivileged children who may not have otherwise had the opportunity to learn how to swim. Pool Scouts will be partnering once again with the Hope Floats Foundation this year with a fundraising campaign. For every pool service completed in the month of May, Pool Scouts will donate $1 to Hope Floats to provide scholarships for children in our community to have swim lessons. We take honor in partnering with Hope Floats and believe their mission can and will save lives in our community. Visit the Hope Floats Foundation website to learn more.
