John Breton, who owns and runs the McKinney location, says he started getting calls about winter protection the day after Halloween this year.
“People remember 2021 all too well,” he says. “They also remember the repair bills that came with it. We’d rather keep those pools running smoothly than fix them after everything cracks.”
The program is straightforward. A technician shows up on a regular schedule (more often when the forecast looks ugly), checks equipment, balances the water, cleans baskets and filters, pulls or protects drain plugs, and sends you pictures when the job’s done. No long contracts, no guessing games.
“I shut my own pool down the wrong way one year and paid for a new heater the next spring,” Breton laughs. “Never again. Now my pool—and every pool we watch—comes through winter looking like we just closed it yesterday.”
With another cold front already in the forecast next 10-day forecast, Breton says spots are going faster than last season. His message to anyone still on the fence: “Call us before the temperatures drop, not after the damage is done.”
